Home to the original Studio Sashiko, our Langley studio is located in the heart of the Fraser Valley in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Each Studio Sashiko is created to serve as an inspiring place for artists to flourish, and clients to visit.
The Langley studio incorporates a blend of Japanese and mid-century modern design to reflect our culture and personal style. The mid-century modern design and furniture encompass a clean and spa-like feel, while the Japanese decor adds a quirky pop of playfulness to the space. Our name, Studio Sashiko, is further inspired by the decorative sashiko embroidery styles that adorn traditional indigo dyed fabrics in Japan. This method, sashiko, translates to "little stabs". Highly influenced by high- and street fashion, our in-store retail shop carries brands that are locally sourced, or made within North America.
