Studio Sashiko was born out of a passion for bridging art and tattoos with high fashion and design. We take pride in the meticulous and detailed process of tattooing by hand; taking cues from high fashion for creating new brow trends, and finding every day inspiration in unique face shapes and features.
Founded in 2015 by industry veterans and Co-Owners, Shaughnessy and Kyle Otsuji, Studio Sashiko has grown to achieve a name for itself around the globe. Recognized for creating hyper-realistic results and an all-inclusive approach to cosmetic and restorative tattooing, Studio Sashiko provides a welcome space for clients to express themselves and artists to work in.

Shaughnessy Otsuji
Shaughnessy is Co-Owner and lead artist at Studio Sashiko. Shaughnessy has worked within the Body Modification and Tattoo industry since 2007, holding an education in Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Shaughnessy’s passion lies in restoring confidence, taking an inclusionary approach to her work. Using her natural creative talents, she takes great care in collaborating with clients of all genders and ages, to help them realize their truest inner beauty. She strives to create inspiring spaces for those that work and visit, and embraces forward-thinking business practices by being an equal opportunity employer.

Kyle Otsuji
Kyle is Co-Owner and head of operations at Studio Sashiko. Kyle has worked within the Tattoo industry since 2007, receiving a Body Piercing apprenticeship. He most recently acted as manager at a shop practicing body piercing, before opening Studio Sashiko with his wife, Shaughnessy. Kyle’s creative direction with Studio Sashiko is highly influenced by a passion for high fashion, street fashion, design and architecture. His ability to spot and embrace creative trends has allowed Studio Sashiko to realize itself not only as a leader in quality and hyper-realistic work, but as a brand that is trail-blazing within the industry.
